Subject: [Leica] Bayonet to screw adapter

I recently saw a bayonet to screw adapter for sale. Was this a misprint for a 
screw to bayonet adapter. Is there such a thing as a  bayonet to screw 
adaptor. Seems hard to believe you can have it both ways without changing the 
lens to film plane distance.
Any thoughts?
