[Leica] LTM adapter

I just picked up an old 90 mm Elmar-f4 from a fellow lugger.
Unfortunately
my LTM to M adapter is for the 50-75mm range. Is it true that, although
it will not bring up the 90 lines on my TTL, I will still be able to
focus the 90 properly and can frame by holding the frame preview lever
to
the 90 position? It's a total kludge, but for the moment it would be ok
to play around if it works. Anyone?
