Pressing the shutter release slightly, freezes the speed in memory. Push it farther and it takes the picture with that speed. If used in manual, it has essentially the same display as the M6 TTL. The numbers are very clear with brightness that varies with the outdoor lighting conditions. The display has not been annoying or intrusive. Just right.
