Before blindly accepting someone else's rating, please
consider the variables involved.
1. Every camera is slightly different.
a. Shutter speed variances
b. meter calibration variances
c. lens aperture variances
( a 1/3 stop error is considered "normal" and
acceptable )
2. Every photographer composes and meters a little
differently.
So my suggestion is start with the manufacturer's
rating and then experiment with future rolls until you find
the value you think is correct for your work.
