Let us consider that this is 2002. There are many
industrial powdercoating specialists available. Powdercoating
is probably the most durable metal finish commonly available.
It is a baked on Epoxy. It is available in almost any color
imaginable and can be textured if desired. Want high gloss ?
How about a semi-gloss or matt finish ? They are all avaliable.
And no VOCs to pollute the air.
The only reason I went to the extra trouble and expense for
black camera bodies was to be less conspicuous. But to each his
own. Some people buy Leicas and never take a picture with them......
