You might want to use it on the M3 or M6 HG though. I have found that 135mm is not a good choice for all other M bodies except the two bodies mentioned due to focusing accuracy. Other than the two APO lenses and the 135/4 Tele-Elmar, the best is found to be the later 90/2.8 Elmarit-M with E46 filter size. Of course, this is based on my shooting experience. The 135 Tele-Elmar is the all time favorite on my M3 in my Leica M camera bag. Vibration-free shutter of the M3 is good enough to complement the slow f4 of the lens in low light. All of them were great glasses, the sharpest was the the tele Elmarit M it has a really high micro contrast (you can see the texture of an out of focus cloath in a portatrait), but I love the Summicrons more they are sharp but worm and faster. Among the Summicron choose the unscrewble model or the latest. I didn't try the 135 M, but I have one for leicalfex (the same optical scheme), maybe I'm not a reflex shooter, but I don't love it. So you have to decide according to budget, weight the fastest stop you need. > -----Messaggio originale----- > Da: Art Sala [SMTP:artsala@earthlink.net] > Inviato: mercoledì 22 maggio 2002 4.48 > A: Leica Users Group > Oggetto: [Leica] Telephoto Lens for M > > I am looking to add a telephoto lens to my M6 system (.72).
