If you divide your photos into three vertical sections you almost always put the main action in the left or right third - not the middle one (where most people put the main object because that is where the rangefinder patch is). Do you consciously think about repositioning the camera after focusing or is it just naturally the way you see the pictures? The "rule of thirds", together with Ted Grant's "bend your knees" suggestion are, to my mind, perhaps the two readiest means of improving one's photos, assuming you have mastered focusing and exposure.
