[Leica] Infinity focus: 50mm & 90mm fine, 24mm and 135mm not!

I used the 24mm, 50mm, 90mm and 135mm lenses yesterday and noticed
differences when focusing at infinity.

With the 50mm and 90mm lenses I saw the split image in the focus area
coincide when I focused on a tree on the horizon, a few miles away from
where I was standing.  With the 24mm and 135mm lenses, the images did not
coincide when focusing on the tree, and when I focused on the window frame
of a house about 1/4 mile away, the images still did not appear to coincide.
I did not find out at what distance the coincidence did occur but it was no
where near infinity and probably less than an object 1/4 mile away.

Can the rangefinder be calibrated for every lens so that the focus is set
properly and so that the coincidence of the split image will happen only
when focusing at an object far away (infinity)?  Or is there only one
calibration that can be made, and given that I have two lenses that focus
properly at infinity, will I have to accept that the 24mm and 135mm do not?

Also, does the fact that the 24mm and 135mm lenses do not focus properly at
infinity mean that they will not be focusing correctly at any distance?  I
have not seen any images out of focus on pictures taken at relatively close
range but that is not to say they are precisely focused.
