I tried to get an interesting shot of a crawfish trap while I was visiting family in Louisiana, but failed. Wish I had seen this shot. The bayou shots are nice too. Nice diagonal in the first shot, and I like the verticality of the shot with the cypress (at least, I think they are) trees. I know just what you mean about physical labor giving one some perspective. I spent a summer shoveling dirt on to and off of pick up trucks, and that pretty quickly convinced me that I wanted to go to college. Still, I slept better that summer than at any other time in my life.
