Stuart,

I'm a normal 9-5er so it's only about a hundred pictures a week (3 rolls).
I usually walk the streets during my lunch hour looking for shots and when
I go to the various surfing spots on the WA coast each weekend, I poke
around in the towns on the way.

While I admire GW's (and others) work and it inspired me to start taking
photo's, it didn't inspire me to take pictures like GW. I'm trying to find
my own view. Still, regardless of the composition/content, it would be
really nice if it had at least some of the visceral appeal of the masters
of street photography.

I like PAW 1 (I'd have tried to take another one without the Kid too-
difficult I know if it's not yours), and I like PAW2 - we wouln't have
known a scuffle came just after if you hadn't told us!  It still works as a
picture. If you want to do the Winograd thing, are you taking hundreds of
pictures each week?

I really appreciate your comment B.D.  I never had any strong interest in
taking photographs (always appreciated it as art) until I was shown a
Winogrand book last Winter.  Something clicked in my head and I tried out a
bunch of cameras, bought a Leica and started taking photos.  I feel like
I'm often 'seeing the photographs' on the street but...

...I'm always a second too late, incorrrectly exposed/focused or just plain
old _too chickenshit_ to put the camera to my face and take the picture.
I'm taking photos everyday and I'm getting better.  It's damn frustrating
though.

I'll try to work this image in PS but I'm a complete novice with that too.
It was really bright that day so I'm not optimistic.  If you have a chance,
look at PAWs #2,3,4 for more of the things I'm seeing on the street here.
Warning - I'm still very much exposure-challenged:

It may be the best of five discouraging rolls, but it may just be the
closest thing to real street photography I've seen posted on the LUG. Can
you possibly bring up the faces on the two people reflected in the window?

Forgive the troll title...  This is the best of a discouraging 5 rolls last
week.  As always, TIA for any criticism.
