It's strictly a matter of taste, as several people have commented.  Her 
work appeals to some but the stuff on her website and the Oskar site do not 
appeal to me.  I like some of the early work - the story on dancing 
lessons, for example, tells a story.  It communicates something about the 
people that she has photographed.  These newer ones do not communicate 
anything to me except darkness and garish colors.  I don't know anything 
more about the people in the photographs than I did before I saw them.
