FWIW, the M6TTL I bought new in the spring at a Leica days event through
Tamarkin
was $1550 with the 3 yr passport warranty.  I had been thinking about a
used M
as a way into Leica;  the small difference made the new one seem more
prudent.
It appears to me that used lenses in the M series hold value quite well,
after the initial drop from new.
As a rank amateur, couldn't justify new prices, but have been able to
assemble an outfit at fairly reasonable cost.
Needless to say, the real bargains in used are the R bodies/lenses.
