A Prairie Home Companion is, in some ways, a huge secret joke - a weekly flood of nostalgia for something it's creator scorns. B. I tried reading his books but you lose a lot by not hearing him read them out loud. He read a lovely piece once about different people jumping over a pool of water from a broken water main in the street and I've been trying to find an opportunity to photograph something similar for years. - -----Original Message----- From: Justin Ide [mailto:justin_ide@harvard.edu] Sent: 13 August 2002 13:53 To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: Re: [Leica] Re: Garrison Keillor (WAS: Weekly Submission) Tom: No he wasn't posing for the photo, he was standing outside of a classroom waiting to be introduced prior to speaking. There was no one outside there except he and I, and rather than crowd him I tried to hang back a bit. He's very interesting. You don't notice in the photo, as it is Black and White, but he has these RED socks on that I hear he wears all the time.
