Luggers,
    For at least the last twenty years, I have been shipping exposed film
via FedEx with no ill effects.
    Even after September 11th, I have had no problems. None of my clients or
Black Star, my agents have had any problems with x-ray damaged film from
FedEx.
    As time goes on, hand inspections will  gradually return.
    Personally, I'm, now, doing the same thing as Ted Grant.  In the USA, I
ask for a hand inspection. If they say no. I let them pass it through the
X-ray once I have the name and employee ID number of the supervisor on duty.
