I've handled the R8 on a number of occasions and don't like the handling. I hope you're able to deal with that fact. ;-) As to your truly psychic ability to tell which photos are taken with auto focus cameras, and which are not, I invite you to visit my site - http://www.a-day-in-our-life.com, go to the Personal Favorites section, and tell us which are auto focus photos and which are manual focus. And good luck! B. It's gotten so I can practically tell which photos have been shot with these autofocus wonders -- the main subject is always smack under one of the focus sensors. Can you say Lazy Composition? And by the way, why such an issue with the R8 wind lever which, by the way, has such a short throw that you would never want to multi-stroke it anyway? Last time I looked, the F100 has no wind lever at all. Of course, you do get all those nice plastic lenses that the screws fall out of in about 6 months as part of the bargain. Just admit it B.D. -- you've never actually touched an R8! - -- Rolfe Tessem Lucky Duck Productions, Inc. rolfe@ldp.com - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
