I never considered "lying" to someone about their capabilities a favor. By the way, this is a photography program within a fine art dept. at a liberal arts jr. college. Kind of interesting, as just the other day a friend was asking me to make up my mind in acknowledging to being an artist, and not just a photographer. Needless to say I just blinked at him. Concerning learning their 'techne', there is no mercy. While I can't dictate too hard on the vagaries of composition, even though there is within the human species cultures a clear syntax in acknowledging form and symmetry. However, I'll accept nothing less than a 10% white and 90% black on their prints. That means keep shooting, and reshooting, until it's right. Thanks for your offer by the way, it's definitely on the back burner.
