Hi Nathan,

both nice shots.  I like the picture of the older lady on her own the best.
I think she has a great face and would make an excellent subject for some
more portraits.

 I too have found that photography is a brilliant way of making new friends.
There have been a few occasions when we have met new people in France and I
have taken pictures of them.  When they get the prints, they have been
delighted, to the point of inviting us to their homes for dinner as a 'thank
you'.  Great for the soul, but not so great for the liver :-)
It's been pretty challenging too - as it has been necessary to explain some
of the finer points of photography and printing in French - tricky for me
but a great way of developing my French language skills.
