Some examples: Shouldice Hospital in Ontario is renowned world wide for their surgery expertise and full of American's. Most Canadian hospitals tend to be more concerned with treating you first, then verifying insurance (this is changing as health care budgets are cut). Prescriptions are available for some drugs in generic form and are sold for a lot less and some drugs are available over- the- counter here that either require a subscription or are unattainable in the US (e.g. gravol, 222's).
