Harsh isn't necessarily better. Then again, neither is soft. Just depends on what you want. Something that I struggle with when I do landscapes is how to create something that is uniquely mine. A tree is a tree. A field is a field. (Of course, at the moment, it's easy. That which is uniquely mine is piled up on my desk awaiting development. I haven't developed anything for a couple months, and the backlog of cannisters is about to tip over my desk.) So in my mind the question isn't which is the better version but how do you go about executing your personal vision so that the images you produce are yours and yours alone?
