Bristol worked with Lange photographing the migrant workers of California's Central Valley. He collaborated with John Steinbeck on a story of these workers for Time magazine that became the inspiration for The Grapes of Wrath. The Getty happens to be one of my favorite places in the LA area to photograph. If you haven't been there, you owe yourself a visit, if just for the photographic opportunities.
