I am able to run Photoshop LE in the classic shell while scanning and what not. Personally I agree with previous posters that it would be better to run an older scuzzy equipped machine as a dedicated scanning unit. You can get older machines very inexpensively and it is easy to network two Macs together. I like OS X! It is so stable. In a year of steady use I have managed to freeze the computer only once when running in classic some old game which was designed to operate in OS 7.01. OS 9.x and 8.x were darn right rife with bugs compared to OS X. As to the SCSI problem, that sounds like you need an update in the software for your SCSI card. Contact the manufacturer, hunt for an OS X compatible SCSI card or try, as previously suggested, a SCSI to firewire adaptor. Sudden obsolescence of expensive computer gear is hardly limited to the Apple world. John Collier PS: If you would like a copy of pre-Jaguar OS X, I would be glad to send you my CD.
