i'll be in the distinct minority of people who prefer the classic.

among the obscure "logical" reasons: 1) it will flash even if the camera
batteries are dead, 2) it will take a viso II with 90 degree finder,
3) the shutter dial operates in the same direction as the M1, M2, M3, M4,
M5, MD, etc. and incidentally the bessa R and R2: clockwise shortens the
shutter speed.

but the real reason?  like the parthenon, the classic's proportions live
up to its moniker; they are pure and its ratios golden.
