I have never had battery drain with my M6 TTL and I always switch it to off when I have finished using it and it goes back in the bag. ======================================================================= Simon, the OFF position of the M6TTL (if that's what you're referring to) is intended to disconnect the battery but it does not prevent the shutter from opening if cocked - mechanically, it behaves the same as B. B could not be used as an OFF position in the M6TTL, because the flash curcuit requires battery current and needs to be operational in B mode. I think there may have been battery drain problems with early M6TTL cameras but mot any more. The battery seems to last a long time: I have one (lithium) that's still going strong after 12 months.
