Subject: Re: [Leica] .58x or .72x?

Hi Peter,

I have an 0.58x and am very happy with it and it is now my main camera.
I went the 35mm finder route first. I tried the Voigtlander one and
found its eye relief to be too small and I do not wear glasses. I then
tried the limited production plastic Leica one and was happy. The eye
relief was fine (perhaps not with glasses though) and the image size
seemed just right. As it was the same as the 0.58x camera, I decided to
give that a try and have no regrets. I can now not only see the frame
but I can also easily see around the frame as well. Supposedly the old
SBLOO 35mm finder has good eye relief and is 1:1 (though all the specs
I find say 0.7x). I have not found one to try and the price to get one
is very steep. You may have better luck in Seattle or amongst your
friends and acquaintances.
