The Elmar made in sixties is a great lens; some say as good as the Tele-Elmar which replaced it. The Hektor is also a good lens as previously discussed. Fogging is an issue with any old lens and I have seen fogged lenses from the eighties. I have a late E39 Hektor and I am very happy with its performance and it is clear as a bell.
