Hi Win,
I like both M bodies & screwmounts.
With no use for flash sync, I dont have a IIIF but do
shoot a couple III, IIIB, & IIIC. I often shoot the
IIIB w/ a scnoo rapidwinder.
Generally, my shooting is B&W in the screwmounts altho
in summer I've been known to shoot some kodachrome.
Yes they are inconvenient to load & focus, but if they
were good enuff for Eisenstaedt or HCB, then theyre
fine for me. They require a zen-like patience but are
undoubtedly small & light.
With modern optics screwed onto these old classics,
you'll get quality that is indiscernable from M camera
shots....but you're shooting technique will be a
different process. Some photogs might not like the
difference & find it antiquated. I love it.

Yes, Nathan is absolutely right. On the other hand,
the IIIf is a sweetlittle box, and I find it very
convenient to carry around with the 3.5 Elmar
collapsed, and that modest lens makes some fine
negatives. Recently, and without any effort, I
suddenly began to get the rhythm of squinting and
focussing and framing.
