Ted is very kind trying to inject humor into it, but IT IS a tremendous responsibility. And, it doesn't take much to turn the whole thing into a total fiasco. Batteries running out at the wrong time. Films not being properly spooled because one is in a hurry to get ready to restart shooting because things are happening at a fast pace. Failing to adjust the ISO setting after you change film from 160 to 400. Making the wrong turn from the church to the reception thus holding everything up. Even after you thought you came off unscathed, you arrive home and when you open your bag, you can't find your 35mm lens and you can't remember where you placed it after you changed to a 90 mm lens to get some tight shots of the couple. A whole bunch of things happen even to the most experienced wedding shooters out there, think what can happen to a novice. I would go in as a backup shooter and maybe the whole experience will be a pleasant one as well as very educational one, but to take the whole burden of responsibility without having done it before is very risky business. Be glad you asked advice and be thankful there is a Ted Grant to tell it like it is. Dante - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
