Frank:

It is the 400mm f2.8 APO Telyt, which was introduced for the 1992 
Olympics.  I used it with the 1.4x APO extender to get the 560mm at f4 when 
the main lens is wide open at f2.8.  I was shooting wide open.

On the used market, I think they go for $6,500 to $7,000 USD.  I have had 
mine for about five years and purchased it from the Leica distributor in 
Canada.  It was their trade show demo.
