[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]I have added about 30 photos to my London gallery on Photo.Net, taken during my many trips over there this year, all using Leica equipment: http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder.tcl?folder_id=214680 Some of them have previously been posted as PAWs, but most are new. Also, I have made Canning Town, previously part of my London folder, into a separate folder: http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=257129 I continue to be fascinated by the pub, The Rose of Denmark, which is next to the hotel where I usually stay (Holiday Inn Express near Canning Town Station). The place is being demolished but very slowly, as the progression of photos from February to November shows. I have no idea why it has such a draw on me...perhaps because the name of the country where I grew up is part of it? But I think it is because I imagine the life that once went on here, the pints being downed... Somehow, this pub is the metaphor for this somewhat decaying neighbourhood. Somebody posted a comment on this folder on Photo.Net, "enough already"! Nevertheless, I happily submit both folders to any critique that might be forthcoming from the LEG/LUG.
