I haven't had it done, but have been told it's about $100 to do. As far as aftermarket lenses, the beauty of using a Leica R camera is the lenses. You might as well shoot a better (and cheaper!) camera if you aren't going to put Leica lenses on it. I got my 35 f2 Summicron for $325 and my 90 f2 Summicron for $410 by looking really hard at GreedBay and being patient. If you see a non-3 cam lens somewhere, add that $100 to convert it and see if it's a good deal then. Often it's not, because the older 1 and 2 cam lenses are sought after by Leicaflex and SL/SL2 guys, which keeps the price up somewhat.
