As to selling it and investing isa 35 'lux, as I bought a similar one for about $25, you may be able to pick if a used lenscap to get you started. They are handy for doing closeup work with a screw mount 50, the legs are set to the exact focal distance, and the four points they form when mounted define the field of view. I have used the setup for getting closeups of flowers, the one set allows you to cover an area a bit bigger than a postcard.
