If asked, I'd definitely call it a Rapidwinder, rather than a Rabidwinder.

Seriously, I've hand-carried mine on multiple occasions, all without a
problem.  It's not likely that the issue would arise, but it's definitely a
possibility, in which case explanation will not likely help.

Probably a good idea to travel with the normal base plate attached and the
Rapidwinder stored in checked baggage.
