Having our own little protectorate-dictatorship in the Middle East controlling massive amounts of oil would tend to give us a leg up in bargaining, eh? As it rests right now, no one disagrees that Iraq is an "evil" dictatorship and that Saddam Hussein would better serve the world with a bullet in his head. Unfortunately, we have no reason to believe that an invasion by the United States would change anything. History indicates that we're quite happy with dictators, as long as they're our dictators - all the way up to today, where we support the regimes in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. > Regards, > > Greg - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
