It is the flash i use for my Leicas both a TTL and a Classic. With the extension cord what you can do is amazing, I use a Nikon cord. Many of the images you make can not look at all like flash images... just because of the cord and your left arm and creative placing of where the flash is and where its aimed at. But on the camera the 32 Z2 is just a tad big for the camera. I found a winder balances it better but it's still big even getting in the way of certain controls on the camera.. I think they make a smaller one now but I'm not sure if you can use the dedicated shoe with it it's very frustrating. For awhile they were even calling this a "perfect for Leica" flash and illustrating it on a Leica M6. Come to think of it now we're at Leica M7 and they have a flash they takes account of all the flash capabilities of the camera like syncing at 1/1000th of a second. I hear that's a little on the big size in terms of feel on the camera. So the small size of the "Leica" SF-20" appeals to me. It fits nicely better in the small bags I use than my 32-Z2 which takes the place of another camera, not a lens.
