My one suggestion is that you might consider lining each thumbnail with a HTML page rather than just a .jpg - done this way you could arrange that once a viewer is on the HTML page they could click the picture to get back to the thumbnails. I know this would be a PITA because you have to create HTML page for each image. Once you have the HTML you could make it so a person could stay on the HTML level and go to the next image without going to the thumbnail page. I'm sure your extended family would do that as they ( family and friends) would look at EVERY image. Now you can tell me that you are a professional web designer and have forgotten in one day what it will take me years to even learn :) Once again it's the images that are important - the rest is window dressing. ernie At 08:11 AM 1/29/03 -0500, you wrote: >with NYC recently hitting a couple of days perilously close to 0 F, >i thought it was a good time to scan in some beach photos i took >last summer with the noctiluxed leica and other cameras. > >i am trying a new way (for me) of making web pages with thumbnails; >i hope it works: > >http://www.shinozuka-family.com/20020622beach/.thumbnails/page.html > >(i did this because i discovered that eazel nautilus automatically >made these nice-looking thumbnails, and i figured, why not use them?) > >i'll eventually come up with a better url convention. > >-rei > >-- >Rei Shinozuka shino@panix.com >Ridgewood, New Jersey > >-- >To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
