[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Okay, I'll stick out my neck, since you have asked for comments, I'll state the following, with a great deal of respect for your abilities as a photographer: Rei, you have a really terrific eye, great sense of composition, control of exposure - but IMHO you degrade what would otherwise be really classic images by a fixation with using an inappropriate lens. I firmly believe that if you posted these same images, and told people that you had shot them with a Canon 50 1.2, or .95, or even with the Canon 85 1.2, people would be talking about the really ugly bokeh and truly bizarre isolating effect the lens has on the central subjects of the photos. But as this is the LUG, I know full well what people will say instead is, "WOW! I'm gonna get me one a them Nocktiluxes!" But of course very few of their photos will be anything like yours, because few people on this list have your eye and basic photographic skills. Best B.
