Examples of the effects of a holed curtain. Only the 'cocked' curtain was
holed so the longer the time between cocking the shutter and firing it the
worse the effects of the holes. I could not see the holes in a darkened room
with the lens out, back open (obviously) and a powerful torch in the lens
cavity. Sonny Carter suggested I repeat the procedure but this time look at
the curtain through a loupe. There were a dozen or more. I still cannot
believe that could not see them without the aid of a loupe.
