And so I lust after the 6-20 thousand dollar digital cameras (as well as the 15 thousand dollar scanners) which would poduce files worthy of the 3 hours of shooting. And those files would not take just 10 minutes to upload, open, finesse, and store. While perfect for the web, these little digital, expensive toys, do not as yet give us professional files to professionally print with. And so, "Come on Leica - give me a professional body that will allow me to use my investment in glass and produce some professional files. NOW!" Also, inkjet printing is not fast. I can get a lot more prints out of an hour in my darkroom than an hour with the computer/epson. However, I also have to say that I do love the image controls of digital printing. So it all comes down to our living in a time when, I suspect, most of us have one foot in the pasture and one in the yard, with our groins hanging painfully on the barbed wire fence; trying to figure out which way to do "this particular job." At least that describes my dilemas. - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
