A friend of mine has found the opposite, at least for camera items. I think you are basing your conclusion on a different set of circumstances. Most high end cameras have a large following, relatively...take a look at the backlog getting Sherry or Don to fix your Leica... Anyway, he's been having made Minox parts that are no longer available from the factory, like shutter blades. He's more than doubled his money, and he still have %70 of his initial purchase of parts left. So, for some things, it DOES make perfect economic sense. Regards, Austin P.S.
