Amazingly quick compared to ??? I have an M2 and a couple of TTLs. 
There is simply no contest as to which is faster to rewind even with 
the newer camera's annoying stiffness at the end. An M2 with an 
accessory rewind crank is faster as the direct rewind gear train does 
not bind at the end like the canted M4 and up cameras do. If you do use 
an accessory rewind crank on a M3/2/1/MP/?, make sure you support the 
extended rewind shaft with a finger as it is easy to bend.
