You'd be surprised what prices those old manuals are fetching now. Go into
the attic and drag 'em out! They're becoming as valuable as old Leicas!

Take a look at this Web site for a look-see! It's amazing. I wish I still
had my old Hermes Rocket, that mini-manual.

Funny you should say that - I have recently found myself fondly
recalling typing on typewriters, to the point of wondering if I wanted
to buy an old Underwood. I haven't succumbed yet, and probably won't,
but the thought is there. But of course it's not the Underwood logo
that's calling to me, it's what I remember of the tactile feel and sound
of typing, and it's also probably the fact that I connect both to my
long-gone youth.

Absolutely no value-added as an instrument for taking
pictures. In fact, its a step backwards. Although it
might touch the hearts of true die-hard Leica fans,
but as far as I'm concerned, there is really no
sentimental ties. I can't see myself typing with an
Underwood typewriter now that I have a PC.
