About 6 or 7 years ago a neighbour's kid of about 12 came over while
I was outside the garage and asked to use our phone, as he had locked
himself out of the house. I directed him to the phone in the garage,
which was an old black rotary dial desk phone. He picked up the
receiver, looked at the dial and then at me and asked "How do you
work this?".
