Normally, since the "standard" lens is the 50mm, the usual way to choose additional lenses is to double the focal lenght for telephoto and to reduce it by half for wide angle. Therefore the 24 would be a logical choice in the wider area. If 24 seems too wide, the the 35mm should be considered as an additional optic. Below 24, the 1/2 formula is no longer used. 18 to 21 would be the next step, then 15 or 26. I have alway considered the 28 to be an odd choice, a compromise that does not quite satisfy; like taking a sandwich to a banquet.
