Otherwise, what's the knurl for. This looks very much like Dick Wasserman's rewind crank for M2 and M3. On that device there is a complete circle around the original knob and a small set-screw threaded through the body in the side opposite the crank pin itself and the screw bares against the camera's rewind knob.
