Security guards are not known to represent the intellectual elite (they are the ones who couldn't get hired by the local police) ... so I doubt that it is too representative. But on the news today I did hear that one of Sweden's absolute top journalists is banned from the US. He isn't even allowed to fly over US territory in transit. Jan Guillou is his name. He uncovered illegal activities by the Swedish secret police in the 70's (they were spying domestically ... kind of a Watergate thing). So much for the free press.
