The only problem is if you want to couple two wide angle, say a 35 and a 24--the rear element of the 24 protrudes to far and it will not work. A 50 and longer lens can be coupled with any other lens, it is just when you have two wide angle lenses that you may have this problem. This is why some of us prefer to glue two end caps together instead.
