This one of the later units, after the magic serial number range. The black chrome body is in very good condition, and was serviced last fall by Reinhold Mueller, former Leica Canada service manager. (Actually the work was done by someone Reinhold has work on the SLRs) I have put a number of rolls of slide film through this, and the meter seems to be spot on. This is one of the later models, in which the indicator appears in the VF to remind you if you are using averaging or spot metering. The winder is completely functional, and the battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion. The coating on the base has been chipped along the edges and on the bottom, and cosmetically it is user grade. The accessory grip is included, finish is excellent condition, and the leather strap is clean and supple. Included is the R3/R3MOT instruction manual, and the R3MOT Winder manual. I am asking $450, for all the above, plus shipping of your choice, at cost. I can supply digital images to serious buyers. A perfect starter if you want to begin Leica SLR photography. I want to move this to fund the purchase of a Leica R6.
