I use M6s and Nikon F100s - and some digital equipment. If I was adding
another M body today, I would definitely get an R2. In fact, I have long
toyed with the idea of getting the Bessa L, which has no built in
viewfinder - just a rangefinder - on which to permanently mount my 21.

BTW, the only reason I use Ms is that, in terms of long-lived, totally
dependable, rangefinder cameras, there is no alternative today. I wish
that Nikon and Canon were still in the rangefinder business, but
unfortunately, they're not.

Oh, at one point many years ago, my Leica kit consisted of a pair of
CLs. ;-)

If you want an M mount body that will allow you to not risk the M, I
would definitely suggest the R2 over the CL - It will give you a new toy
that is really new, and will give you more features and flexibility than
the CL.

Well, I didn't think you were that rude, really.
The main reason isn't that I need to own two Leicas just to feel like a
real photographer. It's more that I don't feel comfortable to travel
around some places with the M6. I don't want to loose it, I kind of have
bad
experience from travelling with expensive equipment.
And getting a body that use M lenses would suit me fine.
Then, on the other hand, I can feel that I sometimes need some new
"toys" to get the inspiration that sometimes lack. It's not that it must
be named Leica, but of course it helps. And, by the way, what do you
use?

Paul
