Remember we are talking about 6 "teeny spots of oil". If the blades were wet with with oil that would be a different matter and probably because of incompetent servicing. As to reflections, again 6 "teeny spots of oil"!? Am I going to throw away all my old lenses with shiny aperture blades? Do you? My old Hektor is a great performer stopped down and that is with very polished aperture blades? If only it was as good wide open when those "obviously" faulty blades were out of the way! John Collier (Who has never looked inside a lens unless the negatives were problematic.
