I would suggest an R8 if you want the best viewfinder and meter and all the added Program electronics. An R6 or R6.2 if you want the most M like of Leica SLR's. Best flash features also go along with the R8. Buy an R7 if you want a hybrid of R8 and the R6. An SL2 with hold its value best and I've seen claims that Leica actually lost money on every SL2 they sold. The SL2 like the M5 is a piece of technological wonder in the pure craftsmanship department! My favorite lenses for the R bodies are: 70-180/f2.8, 280/f.28, 100/f2.8, 35-70/f2.8 (for speed) 35-70/f4 and the 80-200/f4 for size and image quality.
